We will do our best to ensure that the day is enjoyable regardless of the weather. If it is pouring rain or there is lightning we will take a break until the harsh weather passes. Otherwise, we encourage you to wear weather-appropriate clothing to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible during your experience.

Comfortable clothing that is weather appropriate. It is advisable to wear flat, closed-toe shoes. No singlets, thongs, or camouflage clothing can be worn. If you wear corrective lenses for distance, it is beneficial to use them during the activity. We recommend you bring a hat and sunglasses. Jackets with big collars are discouraged as they make mounting the shotgun into the shoulder difficult.

All shooting is undertaken within the confines of an un-inhibiting safety cage. All firearms are loaded and unloaded by a qualified instructor. There has never been an accident at any of our events. All safety equipment such as safety glasses and ear protection is provided.

Being the original clay target shooting events company in Australia, we have a vast amount of expertise. We pride ourselves on providing a Gold Medal experience. One of the many ways that we do that is through the target presentation. For example, at our Werribee range, we shoot over 11 different traps at 6 different stands, which provides a presentation suitable to all ability levels.

There is a minimum age limit of twelve years. Gender is no limitation. Females have on many occasions out-performed their male counterparts during the competition section of the activity.

No firearms licence is required. No previous shooting experience is needed although we do cater to all levels of ability. In some states, a temporary police firearms licence form will need to be filled before the activity. This may require you to show proof of ID (i.e. a Driver’s License).

All the firearms are current Beretta 12 Gauge shotguns. Beretta is widely recognised as the best firearm manufacturer in the world. Some of the guns used during the events are the actual firearms used by Russell and Lauryn in their Olympic and Commonwealth Games competitions. Their value ranges from $3,000 to $35,000 per shotgun. We use low recoil competition target ammunition.

All of our days begin with a firearm safety instruction briefing and then a basic practical demonstration on how to hold a firearm and shoot some relatively easy clay targets. As the day progresses, more difficult shots are introduced. With a team of Olympic, Commonwealth, or National elite instructors assisting you, you will be provided with top class instruction.

The best part about corporate team-building activities is that you get to know your colleagues on a new level and have fun with them in the outdoors, away from noisy printers and heaps of admin. Clay target shooting is the perfect activity for bringing in fun, sportsmanship, and camaraderie outside of the working environment.

What You Need to Know About Corporate Event Entertainment

Are you looking for office Christmas party ideas in Melbourne but feeling uncertain about clay target shooting? Never tried this past-time before? Have a look at what our corporate package includes and how target shooting can benefit your team:

  • The most challenging thing about planning team events is combining employees of different fitness levels into one activity that they will all enjoy. Clay target shooting is for everyone, regardless of their fitness level or experience. No previous experience with firearms is required.
  • We will complete a full safety briefing before the event starts. Each participant will receive safety gear, ammo, a firearm, and coaching from our instructors. We will offer practice shots, after which the real competition will begin with a combination of single and double targets.

The entire experience will last about three hours, depending on the number of individuals and teams that you enter. We can also include catering in your package as well as extra targets, transport, and alcohol.

Russel Mark is renowned for his motivational speeches, and you can add him to your customisable package as the cherry on top of a fun-filled day. What You Can Expect From Us Regarding Staff Christmas Party Ideas in Melbourne

When you book with us, we will do everything that we can to make the day perfect and adapt to your needs.

  • The biggest consideration for outdoor events is often the weather. When you book for a full corporate day, it will include transportation, food, target shooting, and a motivational speech and award ceremony. If the weather doesn’t play along, we can continue our fun until we spot heavy rain or lightning. If that happens, we can simply wait for it to pass before we continue shooting.
  • Choosing us as your entertainment for the day means letting your team know to dress accordingly. Casual clothes that are weather-appropriate with closed-toe shoes are the preference. No camo clothing and singlets are allowed; hats and sunglasses are recommended.
  • This team-building event might just spark interest in a new hobby for your staff. We have YouTube videos as well as online training and assessments for anyone who wishes to continue clay target shooting as a hobby or at a competition level. We also host coaching clinics for a maximum of six participants who wish to improve their clay target shooting skills.
  • As the original clay target shooting course in Australia, our business is more than 20 years old, and we have the greatest number of targets in the region with 11 different traps and six stands to shoot at for participants of all ability levels. All firearms are loaded and unloaded by our professionals, and we deliver appropriate firearm handling instructions during the safety briefing before your team gets going.

With our team of National, Olympic, and Commonwealth award-winning instructors, you will be in safe hands with the best firearm training and advice that you can get on the course.
